The Emma Press publishes Auckland author’s short stories
The Emma Press is publishing a collection of short stories by Auckland author Leanne Radojkovich, titled First fox, on 16th May.
The collection features surreal suburban fairy tale-like stories, most of which are set in New Zealand. Leanne has been widely published in magazines in the US and New Zealand (including Litro and Flash Frontier) and First fox will be her UK debut.
The collection is illustrated by Auckland-based illustrator Rachel J Fenton, who edited the acclaimed Three Words: An Anthology of Aotearoa/NZ Women’s Comics.
Leanne Radojkovich said: ‘I’ve been experimenting with text and image mash-ups for a few years, both digital and analogue, because I feel the combination deepens the pleasure to be found in stories. Consequently, I’ve long dreamed of having some of my stories published in an illustrated collection and am stunned that this dream has come true, thanks to Emma Press and Rachel J Fenton.’
First fox is launching at the Auckland Writers Festival on 16th May. More details here.
