The Emma Press launches gift wrapping service
We can now gift wrap your Emma Press order with our specially designed, locally printed wrapping paper and pop in a handwritten note on a matching postcard (you can tell us what to write).
We wanted a way to mark the thought behind the experience you create when you choose to send our books as gifts. Our new bespoke gift wrap has been designed by local illustrator Amy Louise Evans, whose artwork you might recognize; she illustrated Cheryl Pearson’s Menagerie as well as Once Upon a Time in Birmingham: Women Who Dared to Dream. You can explore more of Amy’s illustrations on her website, amylouiseevans.co.uk.

Our lovely illustrator Amy at the launch of Once Upon a Time in Birmingham
Amy worked with us to produce a set of stationery (including the wrapping paper and postcards) inspired by the idea of growth, drawing particularly on the baobab tree as a symbol of support and community. Our local printer, Joseph at The Holodeck, risoprinted Amy’s designs onto Croxley heritage recycled paper and card – and they’re now sitting in the office waiting to enclose your gifts. Just add our Gift Wrapping service to your order for £2.50.
printed on recycled paper, all the gift wrap is fully recyclable, but it’s so nice we hope you might feel encouraged to re-use it creatively… Do share your ideas with us if so!
