From the Festival:
Parables, Fables, Nightmares offers the reader satirical and surreal accounts of the many perils of contemporary life. In Frieze, the women in famous paintings by Marais, Chardin and Hockney are given voice and artefacts like a taxidermied mouse and a 17th century axe are brought to life. Surreal, magical and beautiful, the poems in this collection explore the delicate nature of memory, history and the body.
Join us for a celebration of the work of two local authors, published by two regional presses; a very Birmingham Literature Festival kind of party!
