The Emma Press publishes new translation of children’s poetry book by Latvian-Swedish poet
The Emma Press has launched The Book of Clouds, a poetry book for children by distinguished Latvian-Swedish poet Juris Kronbergs.

The Emma Press has acquired English-language rights to two Latvian titles and one Estonian title. For the Latvian titles, they received a grant from the Latvian Writers’ Union (Latvijas Rakstnieku Savienība) and Latvia’s Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.

The Emma Press is among the nine publishers awarded grants in the latest round of the “Support for Foreign Publishers Publishing Latvian Literature” programme, organised by the Latvian Writers Union (LWU) and financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia. The grants cover translation and production costs and are linked to Latvia’s participation in the 2018 London Book Fair, as one of the Market Focus countries.
